Officers were dispatched to Pollard Street East, in Ancoats, to reports of a possible Covid breach while the city was still under social distancing restrictions.

They soon discovered a 40th birthday party in full swing at 0161 Dance Studios, Wellington Mill. Around 20 women were sat closely together - in some cases on each other's knees - with ‘numerous bottles of vodka and prosecco strewn across the tables’.
