direct to your inboxPlans for 56 new flats that would sit right next to three separate Grade II listed heritage treasures are set to be decided this week.The former Greatstone Hotel on Chester Road in Trafford would be converted into apartments if Trafford council grants outline planning permission this week.Proposals would see the existing building demolished and replaced with new apartments.A number of local residents have written to the council in support of the application for the flats, and welcomed proposals for ‘much needed’ accommodation for local people and first time buyers.Seven of the 56 flats will be ‘affordable’ housing, equating to around 10pc of the homes on offer.The existing hotel site, which itself isn’t listed, is next.
