Phoebe Bridgers is showing what it means to be an ally and how to apologize for appropriation, and she's having fun while she does it.
It’s all thanks to late night’s new comedy queen, Ziwe. The singer appeared on Sunday night’s episode of the comedian’s eponymous Showtime variety series, where she attempted to keep a straight face while apologizing to “everybody dead” for offending them with her famous skeleton ensemble.
Faux appropriation aside, Bridgers also scored the coveted Bare Minimum Allyship Award not once but twice during her appearance.
First, for simply calling herself an ally and second for issuing her apology outside of the usual notes app trend. A true icon for allies everywhere!
