While viewers didn't see the blonde's face, many speculated it could be Gina Grey (Anya Taylor-Joy), wife of Michael Grey, Tommy Shelby's cousin.
However director Anthony Byrne, who directed season five and is returning for season six, has shot down any fan hopes of an illicit romance between the pair.
Speaking to Digital Spy, he said: "I would've shown Anya Taylor-Joy, there would have been a reason, it would have been more shocking to see her and know once and for all. "But no, I don't remember.
