Oscar Winner Louise Fletcher Sadly Dies at 88

Louise Fletcher has sadly died at the age of 88. According to THR, the actress passed away of natural causes on Friday, September 23, at her home in Montdurausse, France, her son Andrew Bick confirmed. Louise previously survived two runs of breast cancer.

She was best known for her role as Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, which won her the Best Actress Oscar in 1976. Louise was also known for her roles in Shameless, and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, as well as Exorcist II: The Heretic, and The Cheap Detective.
