direct to your inbox Health bosses say Oldham has taken ‘another step towards normality’ after more than 50,000 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19.

Care home residents, frontline healthcare staff, the clinically vulnerable and the over 70s have been able to access the first jab since the middle of December.

All adults in the borough are set to be offered a vaccination by the end of the year. Cllr Dr Zahid Chauhan OBE, cabinet member for health and social care and a local GP, celebrated hitting the 50,000 mark, and urged people to accept the vaccination when it’s offered to them.
