Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Odsonne Edouard and Alfredo Morelos lead SWFA Player of the Year shortlist as Celtic eye double success

Celtic pair Odsonne Edouard and Callum McGregor have been nominated for the Scottish Football Writers Association Player of the Year Award.

The Hoops duo will do battle with Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos and Dundee United goal machine Lawrence Shankland. Morelos was in the form of his life before Christmas but netted only once after the winter break while Edouard produced a host of stirring displays en route to a ninth consecutive title.But United fans will make a compelling case for Shankland who netted an eye-watering 28 times in 33 games before the Covid-19 lockdown halted the game in Scotland.
