Guardiola rested some of his key players at the Emirates, including Rodri, Phil Foden and Kyle Walker, while Sergio Aguero was an unused substitute for the third match in succession.

Kevin De Bruyne lasted 60 minutes on his first start back from injury, in what appeared to be a managed substitution rather than an enforced.
