Get the stories that interest you straight to your inbox every day with our personalised newsletterA huge new primary school in Prestwick has been approved by councillors.The £19 million super school got the go-ahead despite 10 objections and fears over traffic chaos.The two-storey building on Sherwood Road would house Glenburn and St Ninian’s primaries with a detached nursery on site.The 823 pupil campus was approved at a South Ayrshire Council Regulatory Panel planning meeting last week held in private online.Speaking after the meeting, panel chair Councillor Brian Connolly said: "The campus looks fantastic.

But the panel had concerns about parking."He said the Ayrshire Roads Alliance are happy with the parking arrangements being put.
