Netflix has been indicted by aTyler County, Texas grand jury in connection with its Cuties film. According to the indictment cited by a number of local news stations, Netflix is accused of promoting"visual material which depicts the lewd exhibition of the genitals or pubic area of a clothed or partially clothed child who was younger than 18 years of age at the time the visual material was created, which appeals to the prurient interest in sex and has no serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value..." The indictment partially shared on social media by Texas congressmanMatt Schaefer, was filed on Sept.

U.K. Exhibitor Vue to Partially Close Quarter of Cinemas
U.K.-based cinema chain Vue is set to close a quarter of its sites during the week, joining rival British exhibition giants Cineworld and Odeon, which have both announced shutterings in response to the decision by studios to delay major film releases. The chain —led by CEO Tim Richards — is to close 21 out of its 87 sites from Tuesday through Thursday, it revealed on Monday, saying that the move was to "ensure that our business is financially well-placed to withstand the uncertainty ahead."
