Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Neil Lennon.The Celtic boss has been caught up in the Covid-19 fallout from the Hoops’ controversial return from Dubai.Lennon missed Monday night's game with Hibs and has to spend 10 days away from his squad.Mellon had to do something similar earlier in the season when the entire United coaching staff had to self-isolate after an outbreak at Tannadice.And Mellon, who missed the Livingston game in December, said: “I can only speak about things from a distance.“It is hard work.“You are watching games and there are 30 second delays on (match) feeds, it is a nightmare.“You are very, very detached from it.“I made the decision that I couldn’t really affect it and pretty much stayed away from it to let the people who could affect things get on.
