Neil Lennon

Neil Francis Lennon (born 25 June 1971) is a Northern Irish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. During his playing career he represented English clubs Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Leicester City.

Lennon moved to Scottish club Celtic in 2000, where he made over 200 appearances and was appointed captain in 2005. Before retiring as a player, he returned to England and played for Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Lennon made 40 appearances for Northern Ireland in nine years, scoring two goals. Lennon was appointed manager of Celtic in March 2010, initially in a caretaker capacity after the departure of Tony Mowbray.

Celtic boss' assertion that Alfredo Morelos didn't have a goalscoring opportunity in the Nir Bitton red card incident. Lennon was furious after the match, describing referee Bobby Madden's decision to send off the Israeli as having 'done' his team.

James Tavernier sent Morelos clear in the flashpoint with a curling ball down the flank, and the Colombian got in front of his marker before being clawed to the ground.

But Lennon insisted the ref called it wrong in judging it to be a goalscoring opportunity.He fumed: "We've been done by a pretty poor refereeing decision, I don't think he was great all day."He's made the decision straight away, Nir's not done done great, he's got himself in the wrong body position but he's not clean.
