Season 11 of NCIS: Los Angeles ended with a hair-raising spectacle in Afghanistan, as Callen (Chris O'Donnell) and Sam (LL Cool J) found themselves face-to-face with a threat from within.

As reported previously, executive producer Frank Military said that episode, "Code of Conduct," was originally planned as a two-parter that culminates with Special Warfare Chief Petty Officer Thomas Argento (Juan Riedinger) being held responsible for war crimes — or at least an attempt to hold him responsible.
