NBC Cancels 'Ordinary Joe,' Fox Cancels 'The Big Leap' - Both After Just One Season

Two of the major TV networks just canceled their hot new freshman shows of the season. It was just announced that NBC has canceled Ordinary Joe and Fox has canceled The Big Leap, both after just one season. Click inside to read more… The season one finale of Ordinary Joe aired a little over a month ago and Deadline reports that the cancellation news is “not surprising” as the series “did not perform well.” It was ranked as the network’s lowest-rated drama of the season.

Ordinary Joe explored the three parallel lives of the show’s main character (James Wolk) after he makes a pivotal choice at a crossroads in his life.

The series asks the question of how different life might look if you made your decision based on love, loyalty or passion. The 11-episode first season of The Big Leap ended in December and the network decided to hold a decision on the renewal into the spring.

The show has now been canceled after being Fox’s lowest-rated series this season. Scott Foley led the cast.
