Mum is planning weekend 10K cycle in memory of beloved daughter

A mother whose daughter passed away in 2017 is doing a 10k cycle event in her honour for the Max Appeal charity.Angela Mckee’s world came tumbling down when Danielle passed away in 2017 after being diagnosed with lymphoma.

However, Angela and her husband, Craig, are aiming to keep Danielle's memory alive through charity work as it allows family and friends to frequently come together.Don't miss the latest headlines from around Renfrewshire.

Sign up to our newsletters here.They have already raised more than £9,000 for charity this year.Angela is hoping to raise that £9,000 to £10,000 on Saturday as she takes part in a Millport 10K cycle event.She said: “Thirty people taking part with family and Danielle's friends.

We try to make it a fun day for everyone taking part, so after covid, this is the first cycle since 2019. We aim to raise £1000 for the cycle this would make this year's total around £10,000.“This is for the Max Appeal charity that needs the funding to help raise awareness.
