Motor flips over after smashing into pole on Scots country road with driver reported to prosecutors

A motorist miraculously escaped serious injury after ploughing into a telephone pole causing the car to flip over. Police were called to the scene on the B925 near Auchtertool in Fife on Friday following reports of a one vehicle crash.

The grey motor was left lying on its side with a significant dent on the passenger side where it hit the wooden structure.A picture taken at the scene shows the telephone cable draped over the top of the car which was left with a smashed windscreen and badly damaged bonnet.The driver has now been reported to prosecutors for allegedly driving without insurance and careless driving.Road Police Scotland tweeted: “Fife Road Policing attended this single car RTC near Auchtertool today.“Fortunately no serious injuries considering the car demolished a telephone pole when it struck it.“The driver has been reported to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service for having no insurance and careless driving.” Don't miss the latest news from around Scotland and beyond - Sign up to our daily newsletter here .
