Morrisons has become the latest major retailer to join the supermarket petrol price war by slashing the cost of fuel at 399 filling stations across the UK.
The UK supermarket chain announced it has cut the cost of its unleaded and diesel by an average of six pence a litre in a bid to help drivers keep costs low.
Morrisons has said that it is passing on the recent reductions in wholesale prices to drivers to help them reduce the rapidly rising cost of motoring.
Morrisons is the latest major supermarket to cut prices, after Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury's announced they were cutting the cost of fuel at their forecourts.It comes after supermarkets faced criticism for keeping their petrol prices high during the rising cost of living.
