The nationwide call for NHS volunteers to help fight coronavirus in the UK has seen over 400,000 people sign up. Health Secretary Matt Hancock said volunteers would help boost the government's ability to protect those most vulnerable to coronavirus and provide vital support for medics.
Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, the Prime Minister congratulated the public as he announced 405,000 people had signed up.
