Dramatic footage captured the moment a Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) crew from Rhyl raced to save the terrified child after a rope connecting her to the shore detached and she drifted away.

The RNLI said she had luckily managed to stay on board the inflatable - but was "a few hundred metres out at sea". The tearful little girl, who can be heard calling out for help, is pulled from her raft and onto the lifeboat before the crew attaches her raft to their own boat.
