Mixed response to trading return date for Perth and Kinross businesses

Perth and Kinross have had a mixed response to the news their return trading date will not be brought forward. From today (April 16) residents are able to travel anywhere in Scotland as the ‘stay local’ guideline is lifted.Outdoor meeting restrictions have also been eased, with six adults from six households allowed.However, the lifting of other restrictions will remain set for April 26, including the reopening of hospitality and retail services.CEO of the Crieff Hydro Group of hotels and chair of the Scottish Tourism Alliance (STL) Stephen Leckie said: “There is a mixed view on it.“No one is blaming anyone for this as Nicola Sturgeon has been extremely good at listening to us [the Scottish Tourism Alliance].“We are supportive of both.
