Minging Monton restaurant fined after failing to clean grubby kitchen before lockdown reopening

The owners of a restaurant where poor hygiene 'put people's health at risk' have been served thousands of pounds in fines. An inspection of Leo's Bar & Grill, on Monton Road, Eccles, found a kitchen where surfaces and cooking utensils were covered in grease and food parts.

A food hygiene officer for Salford Council who visited the restaurant intending to have a quick look after it reopened in March following the Covid lockdown was so shocked by what she saw that she stayed for a full inspection of the kitchen.
