direct to your inboxHealthcare workers at greater risk must be prioritised for Covid-19 vaccinations, a union boss has warned.The British Medical Association (BMA) has made repeated calls for the most vulnerable healthcare workers to be urgently given the jab.While the Royal College of Physicians says the pandemic is bringing the NHS “to its knees” and frontline NHS and care staff must be vaccinated in the next couple of weeks “as a priority”.BMA council chairman, Chaand Nagpaul, says it is “imperative” that frontline staff are protected from the virus so they are available to treat patients.“With doctors and their colleagues “in the eye of the storm” there can be no delay,” he wrote in a letter to NHS England chief executive Sir Simon.
