Martin Lewis urges women claiming State Pension to check if they're due extra cash before Christmas

The money-saving expert has made the plea several times recently in an effort to give women across the UK a gentle nudge towards checking their payments.
He told Lorraine how “tens of thousands of women” could be underpaid in their monthly State Pension payment. Martin explained how the issue has arisen due to an “antiquated” set of rules which affect certain married women, widowed women and those who are divorced.
He stated how women aged 67 or older should take immediate action to see whether they are being underpaid, and if they could be due a backdated payment.
