Mancunians show their support for NHS heroes once more with Clap for Our Carers - while airport staff pull out all the stops

People across Greater Manchester stood by their front doors once again to clap and cheer for our lifesaving carers during the coronavirus pandemic.

Clap for Our Carers has become a weekly ritual to show the nation's appreciation for keyworkers on the frontline of the crisis.

It is held every Thursday at 8pm. Every week Mancunians across the region stand in their gardens, on their balconies and at their doorsteps to demonstrate their support.

Around half an hour before the clap, a rainbow appeared over the skies above Greater Manchester. Specky H wrote on Twitter: "Rainbow shining over #Salford an hour before our Clap for the NHS and for everyone else out there getting us through this. "Happy 100th Birthday, #CaptainTom100 Over
