The Met Office has issued the thunderstorm warning from 9am today (Tuesday) to 6am tomorrow morning (Wednesday). Though forecasters predict that heavy rain will continue to batter the region into tomorrow night.
Light rain is forecast in parts of Greater Manchester until around 3pm this afternoon. The showers are then expected to turn heavy and more widespread, according to the Met Office.
