Newcastle have shorlisted Dean Henderson and Jesse Lingard as possible loan options but can only loan one player from another Premier League club.
Newcastle are working on a move for Henderson. Van de Beek, 24, expressed his wish to leave United this month in a conversation with interim manager Ralf Rangnick and three clubs agreed terms on Friday.
The Dutchman has received permission to join Everton, soon to be managed by Frank Lampard. The expected return of Paul Pogba this week leaves Rangnick with five midfielders to choose from in the 4-3-3 formation United have recently adopted and Van de Beek is the sixth-choice.
