Manchester United have been told their new assistant manager was a "disaster" in his last role, having been sacked after overseeing a 7-1 defeat.
United this week appointed Chris Armas to Ralf Rangnick's backroom staff, along with sports psychologist Sascha Lense, and will be tasked with helping the interim boss implement his high-press tactical approach on the squad.
Armas has been out of work since July, when he was dismissed by Toronto FC after just six months, and 15 games in charge. The 49-year-old looked to adopt a Rangnick-style pressing game in the MLS, but it ended with Toronto's biggest ever defeat.
