hereAmbulance crews - including the air ambulance - attended and the patient was taken to hospital by road ambulance, the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) said.A NWAS spokesperson said: “We received a call at 2.53pm yesterday (August 23) to attend to someone who had reportedly fallen from a bike.“We sent an ambulance, an air ambulance, an advanced paramedic and the hazardous area response team (HART) to the scene and treated a male patient reportedly in his 30s for serious injuries – specifically injuries to the patient’s arm and back.“We took the patient to hospital by road ambulance.”.
