Emergency services rushed to Amos Street, just off Langworthy Road, at around 8am this morning (Thursday). It followed reports of 'a concern for welfare'.

An 82-year-old man has been taken to hospital, where he is in a serious but stable condition. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed that a man has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
