Mark Bowles, 38, was found at Leverhulme Park near Hilton Street, Tonge Fold, last Monday (May 17). The Breightmet joiner had been struggling with his mental health following a break-up, Bolton Coroners' Court heard on Tuesday afternoon (May 25).
Benjamin Dobbs, police coroners' officer at Greater Manchester Police, told the court that Mr Bowles was found in undergrowth adjacent to Hilton Street.
Following initial enquiries by police, Mr Dobbs said that Mr Bowles, of Arnside Grove, had been dealing with depression before his death.
