Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has opened up on the sacrifices he made as a youngster to be able to make it as a professional footballer.

The Brazilian has been at the Etihad Stadium for almost three years having signed from Portuguese side Benfica in 2017. Ederson started his career in his home nation, coming through the youth ranks at Sao Paulo before moving to Portugal.

However, the 26-year-old didn’t properly think about what the future in the game could hold for him until things started to get more serious. “After three or four years at Sao Paulo, I began to think about it and the future.
