A man has been charged after a taxi driver was stabbed and choked with a seatbelt in an attempted robbery in Bolton. The incident happened on Trinity Street at around 2.40am on Friday, February 4.

In the attempted robbery, the driver of the taxi was stabbed in both hands, police said. He was also choked with a seatbelt.
