A man accused of trying to rob a mother and daughter as they lay flowers at a family grave has denied being in the cemetery.

Mark Cavanagh, 30, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of attempted robbery and having a bladed article, a kitchen knife. Prosecutors allege he was the knifeman who approached the pair as they were at the grave in Greenacres Cemetery, Oldham.
