A man accused of trying to rob a mother and daughter as they lay flowers at a family grave has denied being in the cemetery.
Mark Cavanagh, 30, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of attempted robbery and having a bladed article, a kitchen knife. Prosecutors allege he was the knifeman who approached the pair as they were at the grave in Greenacres Cemetery, Oldham. "Were you in that cemetery at all that day?"," his barrister John Kennerley asked him on the second day of his trial.
