Call the Midwife has paid tribute to 'dearly loved' colleague Kev Corbishley with a heartfelt tribute in the credits on the BBC series. The finale of series 11 captured a touching moment that the locals gathered for a photograph after Sister Julienne, played by Jenny Agutter, and Doctor Turner, portrayed by Stephen McGann, thankfully survived a horrific train crash.

While the locals of Poplar gathered, the narrator commented: "Life so often is about things we make ourselves. The homes we build, the food we share, the children we carry in our arms. "We turn trial into survival, tears into courage and friendship into everlasting bonds.

We weave our ties by hand, the kisses on a letter, the ribbon round a gift, the flowers sown and grown, and picked and offered up. "Love is our foundation and our roof.

Our walls, our hearth, our window on the world. Love is our beginning and it knows no end." The photograph faded into the touching tribute for the Kev who was a standby rigger on the much-loved BBC One series and worked in the Camera and Electrical department.
