James Brown documentary produced by Mick Jagger and Questlove in on the way.A&E Network announced the four-part documentary yesterday (February 26) and said it’s expected to arrive in 2023.James Brown: Say It Loud will be directed by Deborah Riley Draper and will be executive produced by Mick Jagger, Questlove and Black Thought, among others.In a statement, Jagger said he was “thrilled” to executive produce the project, saying: “He was a brilliant performer who inspired me from the beginning and was deeply committed to the Civil Rights movement. I have always admired James and learned so much from him.”Questlove and Black Thought added: “The life of James Brown is significant not only to understand his immense musical impact, which inspires us and other artists to this day, but also for the deep and lasting impression he has had on American culture.“Brown’s life is a crucial and timely story of struggle, redemption, and self-identity and we are honoured to have the chance to share it.”In 2014, the late Chadwick Boseman starred as James Brown for the biopic Get On Up, which Jagger also produced.

Quentin Tarantino has signed a deal with publisher Harpercollins to release two books, including a novelization of his movie Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.The novel version of the film starring Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio will be published next summer (2021), according to Deadline.com.The second book will not be a fictional work, despite Tarantino revealing he was working on a story about a World War II veteran last year (2019), but will instead be a collection of essays, reviews, and personal writings, titled Cinema Speculation.In a statement, the Pulp Fiction director says: “In the seventies movie novelizations were the first adult books I grew up reading. And to this day I have a tremendous amount of affection for the genre.

Hollywood director Quentin Tarantino has signed a two-book deal with Harper, to include his first novel and personal writings on 1970s-era film. Harper, a division of HarperCollins Publishers, will release Tarantino’s first work of fiction, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, in summer 2021.

Killers Of The Flower Moon continues to be changed after arguments between writer Eric Roth and star Leonardo DiCaprio.After coronavirus-related delays, the film is set to begin filming in the spring of 2021.Since the film’s announcement, rumours have been circling that DiCaprio forced changes to be made to Roth’s script, and the writer confirmed the struggle between the pair in a new interview.Speaking on the Script Notes podcast, Roth confirmed that the film is currently aiming to begin filming in March 2021. “They’ll be continuing rewrites with that,” he said.“Leonardo [DiCaprio] wanted some things changed that we argued about.
