A Lennox Herald campaign which set out to tackle loneliness in our communities has been shortlisted for a press award.Lonely This Christmas - which ran for six weeks - could be named Weekly Campaign of the Year the Scottish Press Awards.We kick-started it in November when an investigation showed that one elderly person on every street across Dumbarton and the Vale is lonely.Pensioner Bob Gray, from Dumbarton, shared his story of being so isolated after his wife died he considered taking his life and this sparked a surge of support for a befriending charity.And now, a group of volunteers - who were inspired to help after hearing his story - are nearing the end of training with the Ben View Resource Centre’s vital service and are ready to be
