Yossman Agnieszka Holland has signed on to direct a biopic of 20th century novelist Franz Kafka.Titled “Kafka,” the film will cover the writer’s life in a series of standalone vignettes, from his birth in 19th century Prague through to his death in Berlin just a few years after the close of World War I.Šárka Cimbalová, Sam Taylor and Mike Downey are set to produce the feature. “‘Kafka’ will be a dazzling kaleidoscopic mosaic of a film that dramatizes the famous writer’s life and imagination in a series of standalone vignettes that span Kafka’s life from his birth in pre-war Prague, up to his tragic death in Berlin in 1924 and into scenes from the future he envisioned,” the trio said in a statement.

Clint Eastwood has celebrated several Oscar wins, the births of his eight children, multiple marriages and more, but now, he's celebrating something entirely different. At 90, Eastwood has remained an icon and a fixture within Hollywood -- especially in Westerns -- first appearing on screen in 1955 and most recently directing and producing 2019's "Richard Jewell." He's also won several awards, having earned four Oscars and a handful of Golden Globes throughout his decades-long career for his work both in front of and behind the camera.

Anthony James, the lanky actor who frequently appeared as bad guys in films such as “In the Heat of the Night” and “Unforgiven,” has died at 77. James died of cancer on May 26, according to an obituary announcement from a funeral home in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
