Kyle Lafferty and made clear he wasn't laughing at the former Rangers star crying over a family bereavement. Lafferty was pictured in tears at the end of Northern Ireland's defeat to Slovakia in the Euro 2020 playoff at Windsor Park, with the game coming just days after his sister had died.

Sonia Lafferty had passed away after a battle with cancer at the age of 41 and Lafferty had paid tribute to her with a t-shirt before kick-off.

Pictures of him in tears were shared on social media and Griffiths 'liked' the post on his Twitter before deleting his account shortly after.

That brought criticism from some users, but the Celtic striker has made clear it was a misunderstanding and he didn't realise the Northern Irishman's sister had died.
