Kind Rutherglen school pupils raise money for Cancer Research UK after pink themed week

Coronavirus, along with the numerous restrictions put in place in schools, did not stop Cathkin High from arranging a full school week of raising money for a vital charity.The halls of the school were overflowing with pink as senior pupils and staff wore the colour in order to raise awareness for Breast Cancer.

Along with a “Wear It Pink Day” on Friday, October 30, Cancer Research badges and pink face masks were sold all week along with donation buckets dispersed in the street area for people to donate.This eventful week of fundraising was proposed by Cathkin High.
