ACTRESS Jennifer Wilson, who starred in soaps including Coronation Street and Doctors, has died aged 89. The performer also had roles in hit 70s shows The Brothers and Special Branch.
A family friend confirmed she died at her home in France earlier this week but her cause of death is not known. Wilson became a household name after her roles as Mrs Bradbury in Corrie and Lily Compton in Casualty.
She last appeared on TV screens back in 2015 in an episode of Doctors. The actress had also performed in Doctors: Mr Punch as Maureen Vickerstaff opposite Andrew Sachs around a decade before.
