It’s been bittersweet for Janette Manrara to accept the job replacing Zoe Ball as presenter on Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two.
While it’s a dream come true for the Miami-born star, it’s meant she’s had to leave her current role as a professional dancer behind, something that she tells me is “really tough”. “It was a mixture of tears,” the 37-year-old says. “Really happy tears and then at the same time it’s a really big part of my life that’s now done.” Janette has had plenty of practice for the top gig and has been filling in for Kym Marsh on BBC show Morning Live.
