Jake Quickenden vows to raise cancer awareness after heartbreaking loss of dad and brother

X Factor sensation shared that he has experienced the effects of cancer as he has lost both his father and brother to bone cancer and that following the heartbreaking tragedies he has vowed to raise awareness about the disease.

Jake explained to Lorraine Kelly: "To do something for cancer awareness is important I lost both my dad and brother to cancer. " The former Dancing on Ice star - who has spoken about the devastating effects of losing two family members has had on him - lost his father, Paul Quickenden, died in 2008.

Two-years after, his brother, Oliver, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma and in 2012 he sadly lost his battle with the disease.
