Chesney Brown has grown up in front of Coronation Street fans' eyes. And the same goes for the actor who plays him. Sam Aston was just 10-yearw-old when he was cast in the ITV soap as the son of son of Cilla Battersby-Brown and the half-brother of Fiz Stape.
And in case you were wondering, he was named after 90s popstar, Chesney Hawkes. But this week, viewers have seen Chesney having to make a hard decision as the family's money struggles result in his son Joseph's grandma, Linda, wanting to take him with her back to Portugal to live.
While Sam may have joined Corrie in 2003, it wasn't his first acting role. The actor, now 28, made his television debut at the age of five, as an extra in Eddie Mountain after joining the Carol Godby Theatre Workshop in Bury.
