There were tears for Abi Webster on Coronation Street as husband Kevin made a reappearance as she waited for news on her baby son.

Abi - and viewers - were shocked last week when she gave birth to a surprise baby, a boy she has since named Alife, at 28 weeks pregnant.

The labour shock on the ITV soap came amid a drug and booze bender after Kevin walked out on her after he discovered she'd had a one-night stand before they tied the knot.

But in emotional scenes, Kevin arrived at the Weatherfield hospital's NICU where Abi's premature baby boy had just been taken for surgery after she was told he had problems with his bowel.
