Age UK’s Over 60s Centre in Chadderton has been completely transformed by Willmott Dixon, with new fencing, gates and a brand new coat of paint.

The local team, led by social value manager Nicola Tyson-Lightfoot, also made the area safer, levelling the ground outside the centre to remove a trip hazard for service users.

Maggie Hurley, the community service manager, said: “It’s been bad news and more bad news for older people in the last year, as many have remained at home isolated and alone for over 12 months. “But as we all busily look to a new future,
