Wilson Chapman editorThe Alliance for Women Film Composers (AWFC) has released a statement condemning the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ decision to not broadcast the best original score category live during this year’s Oscar ceremony.The Academy first confirmed its decision to present several Oscar categories outside of the live March 27 telecast on Tuesday, via a letter from president David Rubin that was sent to Academy membership. The letter explained that these awards will instead be given out an hour prior to the on-camera ceremony, with clips from the speeches being incorporated into the telecast.

Kanye West says he takes issue with Kim Kardashian's claim that the rapper's «been putting a lot of misinformation regarding our private matters and co-parenting on social media,» because he says she can't prove he wrote the social media posts.According to new legal documents, obtained by ET, the rapper claims Kim's allegations of «misinformation» is «double hearsay.» He claims that his estranged wife, for starters, never bothered to attached the said social media posts to her declaration and «Kim needed to offer the social media posts into evidence» as well as «show that the posts were written by Kanye.»The rapper claims that had that been done, «the posts would be admissible as statements» but since Kim didn't submit the social media posts in her declaration, it's therefore not in the record. And as such, West wants Kim's «misinformation» statement to be inadmissible at a hearing next week when a judge is set to decide whether to grant Kim's request that she be declared legally single.Kim filed legal docs earlier this week saying Kanye's «misinformation» campaign on social media «has created emotional distress.» Among some of those posts includes attacking her boyfriend, Pete Davidson.

Unshackling itself from years of streaming and premium cable restraints, WarnerMedia offered a comprehensive upfront pitch commingling HBO and Warner Bros with the company’s linear TV networks.

In March earlier this year, HBO announced, as “Insecure” was coming to an end, that producer-writer-director Issa Rae had signed a five-year overall production deal with WarnerMedia. The deal established an exclusive partnership between Rae’s production label, Hoorae, WarnerMedia’s branches HBO, HBO Max, and Warner Bros.

HBO Max has given an eight-episode order to the docuseries from Miramax and Rae, which will be a reinvention of the critically acclaimed series that ended back in 2016.Affleck and Damon's series debuted in 2002 and focused on first-time filmmakers directing a feature-length movie.

“Insecure” creator and star Issa Rae is exploring the unscripted world with her new HBO Max reality series “Sweet Life: Los Angeles,” which which explores “young Black LA life,” the streaming service said Tuesday.Debuting this summer on HBO Max, “Sweet Life: Los Angeles” “gives an honest and unique look into what it means to be young, Black, and in constant pursuit of one’s dreams in the heart of South Los Angeles,” per its official description.

HBO Max has ordered Sweet Life: Los Angeles, an unscripted series from Issa Rae, which looks at young, Black life in South LA, set to launch this summer. The series comes from Rae and her Hoorae productions, Main Event Media, an All3Media America Company; and Morning Dew Pictures (Baldwin Hills, Real Housewives of Miami).
