Improvements to two of the busiest off-road cycle routes in Manchester have been approved. The council’s executive rubber-stamped plans to bring the Fallowfield Loop and Yellow Brick Road cycleways up to Bee Network standard – with safety improvements, better access and lighting.
The Fallowfield Loop line links eight Manchester wards. The Yellow Brick Road line links two. Improvements will be partially funded by money from the mayor’s Challenge Fund, as well as input from the Manchester council’s budget of £375,000 this financial year and a further £3.341m from the 2022/23 financial year’s capital budget.
