Around 600,000 people over the age of 80 have been sent letters inviting them to mass vaccination centres located across the country.The government has now said that they can wait for closer appointments in the future if they prefer.“The mass vaccination centres offer an immediate alternative to GPs [and] hospital services and letters have been sent out to more than 600,000 people aged 80 and above who live within a 45 minute drive of one of those vaccination centres,” a spokesperson for the Prime Minister said.
