Nathan Ake will remain a Manchester City player this season after talks with Chelsea broke down, while there is a growing expectation that Oleksandr Zinchenko will complete a move to Arsenal.
The 27-year-old Dutch defender had been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea but City were adamant from the outset that they would not accept a bid beneath £50m for the player.
Despite recent reports that the Thomas Tuchel's side were confident of getting the deal done, they have now walked away from talks as they failed to meet City's valuation.
Although Ake was open to making the move, he has no problems staying at a City side where he grew in stature at the club, putting in a number of excellent performances in both central defence and at left-back.
