Manchester City are reportedly in negotiations with Anderlecht as they try to sign left-back Sergio Gomez. Having been knocked back in their attempts to sign Marc Cucurella from Brighton, City now look to have moved their interest elsewhere.
The Blues have decided not to bid any higher for the Spain international after having their £40million offer rejected by the Seagulls.
Pep Guardiola’s side remain in the market for a new left-back, particularly after letting Oleksandr Zinchenko move to Arsenal.
And they look as though they may have identified their next target in the shape of another Spanish star.
